Dr. Mendelsohn studied Neurosciences at Dalhousie University and obtained a Master's of Neuroscience investigating neurotransmitters' role in cognition. After graduating from the Schulich School of Medicine, Dr. Mendelsohn completed a Neurosurgery Residency at the University of British Columbia. He has published peer-reviewed research in the field of neurosciences, medical education, and spine surgery. At the Rapid Access Spine Clinic and his private office in North Vancouver, Dr. Mendelsohn sees over 1000 new patients each year. He has operating privileges at several facilities in the lower mainland and is part of the Division of Neurosurgery at Lion's Gate Hospital. Areas of expertise include minimally invasive spine-surgery, back pain, sciatica, spinal degeneration, neurotrauma and brain tumors.
